Getting to and from school safely

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools. As a parent or carer, it's your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

When driving and parking near our school, please keep our school community safe by:

• following the rules of the Drop & Kiss Zones
• drive and park safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
• being a good role model
• never calling your child from across the road
• using the safest place to cross the road.

For parents and carers of younger children

Discuss with your child how to be safe when:

• walking
• in the  car
• waiting for, travelling on, and getting off the  bus
• riding  bikes, scooters and skateboards.

Also talk about and practise:

• safe travel routes
• plans for when unexpected things happen
• what to do in wet weather.

Parking on school grounds

There is no parking on school grounds. If you are visiting the school or volunteering in the Canteen or Uniform Shop, please adhere to the parking zones in Lewis Street and Radio Avenue. All deliveries to check in with the school office.
