P&C Outdoor Movie Night

What a fantastic Outdoor Movie Night we had this weekend - gorgeous weather set the perfect backdrop for a fun evening! Delicious treats like hot dogs, cakes, and fairy floss were a hit, and everyone enjoyed the movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3 under the stars. A big thank you to all the volunteers for their help in making the event such a memorable one.

Ensemble Night

Thank you to all the students for their outstanding performances at Ensemble Night - each choir and string group played and sang beautifully. A special thanks to our music teacher, the helpers, and the parents for their incredible support and for making the night such a success!

Education Week Open Day 2025

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our Education Week Open Day such a special celebration of learning and community!

To our staff, thank you for your dedication and preparation in showcasing the wonderful work happening in our classrooms. To our students, your enthusiasm and performances brought such joy to the day. And to our supportive parents, grandparents, carers, and special friends - thank you for taking the time to visit, engage, and share in the spirit of our school.

Project Penguin

Year 4 had the opportunity to participate in Project Penguin 2025. This was a joint project with a few High Schools to help conserve the Little Penguin colonies of Sydney Harbour by raising awareness and teaching the community. Students were involved in an extensive range of learning activities including excursions to Little Manly and Taronga Zoo and talks from guest speakers and field studies.

This project helped students to develop skills in teamwork, critical thinking, design thinking, cooperation, time management and leadership.

Book Week

What a fantastic day we had celebrating Book Week. Well done to all our students for the incredible effort you put into your costumes today – from wizards to superheroes, animals to adventurers, your creativity truly brought our favourite book characters to life.

Thank you also to children's book author Zanni Louise for visiting our school to help celebrate Book Week 2025.

Festival of Choral Music

Congratulations to the students in the Senior Choir for their terrific performance as part of the Combined School’s Choir at the Festival of Choral Music last week. Thank you to Miss Zhang and Mr Gardner for their work with the choir.

The Great BHPS Colour Fun!

This year's Colour Fun was totally epic! With two huge inflatables, awesome obstacles, vibrant coloured powder, foam, and refreshing icy poles, the students had an absolute blast running through the course, laughing alongside their classmates and friends (not to mention the fun had by the teachers and parents)!

A massive thank you to the incredible organising team, and to all the many many parents who helped create the fantastic obstacles, threw powder, and assisted with set-up and clean-up. We couldn’t have done it without you! What a day to remember!
